Proverbs 12:1אֹהֵ֣בWhoever loves’ō·hêḇ
מ֭וּסָרdisciplinemū·så̄r
אֹ֣הֵֽבloves’ō·hêḇ
דָּ֑עַת knowledge ,dā·‘aṯ
וְשֹׂנֵ֖אbut he who hateswə·śō·nê
תוֹכַ֣חַתcorrectionṯō·w·ḵa·ḥaṯ
בָּֽעַר׃is stupid .bā·‘ar
Proverbs 12:2ט֗וֹבThe good [man]ṭō·wḇ
יָפִ֣יקobtainsyā·p̄îq
רָ֭צוֹןfavorrā·ṣō·wn
מֵיְהוָ֑ה from YHWH ,Yah·weh
יַרְשִֽׁיעַ׃but [YHWH] condemnsyar·šî·a‘
וְאִ֖ישׁa manwə·’îš
מְזִמּ֣וֹתwho devises evil .mə·zim·mō·wṯ
Proverbs 12:3אָדָ֣םA man’ā·ḏām
לֹא־cannotlō-
יִכּ֣וֹןbe establishedyik·kō·wn
בְּרֶ֑שַׁע through wickedness ,bə·re·ša‘
צַ֝דִּיקִ֗יםbut the righteousṣad·dî·qîm
בַּל־cannotbal-
יִמּֽוֹט׃be uprootedyim·mō·wṭ
וְשֹׁ֥רֶשׁ. . . .wə·šō·reš
Proverbs 12:4אֵֽשֶׁת־A wife’ê·šeṯ-
חַ֭יִלof noble characterḥa·yil
בַּעְלָ֑הּis her husband’sba‘·lāh
עֲטֶ֣רֶת crown ,‘ă·ṭe·reṯ
מְבִישָֽׁה׃but she who causes shamemə·ḇî·šāh
וּכְרָקָ֖בis like decayū·ḵə·rā·qāḇ
בְּעַצְמוֹתָ֣יוin his bones .bə·‘aṣ·mō·w·ṯāw
Proverbs 12:5מַחְשְׁב֣וֹתThe plansmaḥ·šə·ḇō·wṯ
צַדִּיקִ֣יםof the righteousṣad·dî·qîm
מִשְׁפָּ֑ט are just ,miš·pāṭ
תַּחְבֻּל֖וֹת[but] the counseltaḥ·bu·lō·wṯ
רְשָׁעִ֣יםof the wickedrə·šā·‘îm
מִרְמָֽה׃leads to deceit .mir·māh
Proverbs 12:6דִּבְרֵ֣יThe wordsdiḇ·rê
רְשָׁעִ֣יםof the wickedrə·šā·‘îm
אֱרָב־lie in wait’ĕ·rāḇ-
דָּ֑ם for blood ,dām
וּפִ֥יbut the speechū·p̄î
יְ֝שָׁרִ֗יםof the uprightyə·šā·rîm
יַצִּילֵֽם׃rescues them .yaṣ·ṣî·lêm
Proverbs 12:7רְשָׁעִ֣יםThe wickedrə·šā·‘îm
הָפ֣וֹךְare overthrownhā·p̄ō·wḵ
וְאֵינָ֑ם and perish ,wə·’ê·nām
וּבֵ֖יתbut the houseū·ḇêṯ
צַדִּיקִ֣יםof the righteousṣad·dî·qîm
יַעֲמֹֽד׃will stand .ya·‘ă·mōḏ
Proverbs 12:8אִ֑ישׁA man’îš
יְהֻלַּל־is praisedyə·hul·lal-
לְֽפִי־accordinglə·p̄î·śi-
שִׂ֭כְלוֹ to his wisdom ,ḵə·lōw
וְנַעֲוֵה־but a twistedwə·na·‘ă·wêh-
לֵ֝֗בmindlêḇ
יִהְיֶ֥הisyih·yeh
לָבֽוּז׃despised .lā·ḇūz
Proverbs 12:9ט֣וֹבBetterṭō·wḇ
נִ֭קְלֶהto be lightly esteemedniq·leh
וְעֶ֣בֶדyet have a servantwə·‘e·ḇeḏ
ל֑וֹ ,lōw
מִ֝מְּתַכַּבֵּ֗דthan to be self-importantmim·mə·ṯak·kab·bêḏ
וַחֲסַר־but lackwa·ḥă·sar-
לָֽחֶם׃food .lā·ḥem
Proverbs 12:10צַ֭דִּיקA righteous [man]ṣad·dîq
יוֹדֵ֣עַregardsyō·w·ḏê·a‘
נֶ֣פֶשׁthe lifene·p̄eš
בְּהֶמְתּ֑וֹ of his animal ,bə·hem·tōw
וְֽרַחֲמֵ֥יbut the tender mercieswə·ra·ḥă·mê
רְ֝שָׁעִ֗יםof the wickedrə·šā·‘îm
אַכְזָרִֽי׃are only cruelty .’aḵ·zā·rî
