סְבִיבָ֣יוthat his neighborssə·ḇî·ḇāw
צָרָ֑יוbecome his foes .ṣā·rāw
יְרוּשָׁלִַ֛םJerusalemyə·rū·šā·lim
הָיְתָ֧הhas becomehā·yə·ṯāh
לְנִדָּ֖הan unclean thinglə·nid·dāh
בֵּינֵיהֶֽם׃סamong them .bê·nê·hem

וּרְאוּ֙look uponū·rə·’ū
מַכְאֹבִ֔יmy suffering .maḵ·’ō·ḇî
וּבַחוּרַ֖יMy young menū·ḇa·ḥū·ray
בְּתוּלֹתַ֥יand maidensbə·ṯū·lō·ṯay
הָלְכ֥וּhave gonehā·lə·ḵū
בַשֶּֽׁבִי׃סinto captivity .ḇaš·še·ḇî
Lamentations 1:19קָרָ֤אתִיI called outqā·rā·ṯî
לַֽמְאַהֲבַי֙ to my lovers ,lam·’a·hă·ḇay
הֵ֣מָּהbut theyhêm·māh
רִמּ֔וּנִיhave betrayed me .rim·mū·nî
כֹּהֲנַ֥יMy priestskō·hă·nay
וּזְקֵנַ֖יand eldersū·zə·qê·nay
גָּוָ֑עוּperishedgā·wā·‘ū
בָּעִ֣ירin the citybā·‘îr
כִּֽי־whilekî-
בִקְשׁ֥וּthey searched forḇiq·šū
אֹ֙כֶל֙food’ō·ḵel
לָ֔מוֹlā·mōw
וְיָשִׁ֖יבוּto keep themselveswə·yā·šî·ḇū
אֶת־’eṯ-
נַפְשָֽׁם׃סalive .nap̄·šām

יְהוָ֤ה O YHWH ,Yah·weh
כִּֽי־howkî-
צַר־distressedṣar-
לִי֙I [am] !
חֳמַרְמָ֔רוּI am churningḥo·mar·mā·rū
מֵעַ֣יwithin ;mê·‘ay
לִבִּי֙my heartlib·bî
נֶהְפַּ֤ךְis poundingneh·paḵ
בְּקִרְבִּ֔י within me ,bə·qir·bî
כִּ֥יfor
מָר֖וֹI have been most rebelliousmā·rōw
מָרִ֑יתִי. . . .mā·rî·ṯî
מִח֥וּץ Outside ,mi·ḥūṣ
חֶ֖רֶבthe swordḥe·reḇ
שִׁכְּלָה־bereaves ;šik·kə·lāh-
בַּבַּ֥יִת inside ,bab·ba·yiṯ
כַּמָּֽוֶת׃סthere is death .kam·mā·weṯ

אָ֗נִיmy’ā·nî
נֶאֱנָחָ֣ה groaning ,ne·’ĕ·nā·ḥāh
כִּ֧י
אֵ֤יןbut there is no’ên
