כְּאוֹיֵב֙like an enemy ;kə·’ō·w·yêḇ
בִּלַּ֣עHe has swallowed upbil·la‘
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔לIsrael .yiś·rā·’êl
בִּלַּע֙He has swallowed upbil·la‘
כָּל־allkāl-
אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֔יהָher palaces’ar·mə·nō·w·ṯe·hā
שִׁחֵ֖תand destroyedši·ḥêṯ
מִבְצָרָ֑יוher strongholds .miḇ·ṣā·rāw
וַיֶּ֙רֶב֙He has multipliedway·ye·reḇ
תַּאֲנִיָּ֖הmourningta·’ă·nî·yāh
וַאֲנִיָּֽה׃סand lamentationwa·’ă·nî·yāh
בְּבַת־for the Daughterbə·ḇaṯ-
יְהוּדָ֔הof Judah .yə·hū·ḏāh
Lamentations 2:6וַיַּחְמֹ֤סHe has laid wasteway·yaḥ·mōs
שֻׂכּ֔וֹHis tabernacleśuk·kōw
כַּגַּן֙like a garden booth ;kag·gan
שִׁחֵ֖תHe has destroyedši·ḥêṯ
מוֹעֲד֑וֹHis place of meeting .mō·w·‘ă·ḏōw
יְהוָ֤ה׀YHWHYah·weh
שִׁכַּ֨חhas made Zion forgetšik·kaḥ
בְּצִיּוֹן֙. . .bə·ṣî·yō·wn
מוֹעֵ֣דher appointed feastsmō·w·‘êḏ
וְשַׁבָּ֔תand Sabbaths .wə·šab·bāṯ
בְּזַֽעַם־In His fierce angerbə·za·‘am-
אַפּ֖וֹ. . .’ap·pōw
וַיִּנְאַ֥ץHe has despisedway·yin·’aṣ
מֶ֥לֶךְ[both] kingme·leḵ
וְכֹהֵֽן׃סand priest .wə·ḵō·hên
Lamentations 2:7אֲדֹנָ֤י׀The Lord’ă·ḏō·nāy
זָנַ֨חhas rejectedzā·naḥ
מִזְבְּחוֹ֙His altar ;miz·bə·ḥōw
נִאֵ֣רHe has abandonedni·’êr
מִקְדָּשׁ֔וֹHis sanctuary ;miq·dā·šōw
הִסְגִּיר֙He has deliveredhis·gîr
חוֹמֹ֖תthe wallsḥō·w·mōṯ
אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֑יהָof her palaces’ar·mə·nō·w·ṯe·hā
בְּיַד־into the handbə·yaḏ-
אוֹיֵ֔בof the enemy .’ō·w·yêḇ
נָתְנ֥וּThey have raisednā·ṯə·nū
ק֛וֹלa shoutqō·wl
בְּבֵית־in the housebə·ḇêṯ-
יְהוָ֖הof YHWHYah·weh
כְּי֥וֹםas on the daykə·yō·wm
מוֹעֵֽד׃סof an appointed feast .mō·w·‘êḏ
Lamentations 2:8יְהוָ֤ה׀YHWHYah·weh
חָשַׁ֨בdeterminedḥā·šaḇ
לְהַשְׁחִית֙to destroylə·haš·ḥîṯ
חוֹמַ֣תthe wallḥō·w·maṯ
בַּת־of the Daughterbaṯ-
צִיּ֔וֹןof Zion .ṣî·yō·wn
נָ֣טָהHe stretched outnā·ṭāh
קָ֔וa measuring lineqāw
לֹא־and did notlō-
הֵשִׁ֥יבwithdrawhê·šîḇ
יָד֖וֹHis handyā·ḏōw
מִבַּלֵּ֑עַfrom destroying .mib·bal·lê·a‘
חֵ֥לHe made the rampartsḥêl
וְחוֹמָ֖הand wallswə·ḥō·w·māh
וַיַּֽאֲבֶל־lament ;way·ya·’ă·ḇel-
יַחְדָּ֥וtogetheryaḥ·dāw
אֻמְלָֽלוּ׃סthey waste away .’um·lā·lū
Lamentations 2:9שְׁעָרֶ֔יהָHer gatesšə·‘ā·re·hā
טָבְע֤וּhave sunkṭā·ḇə·‘ū
בָאָ֙רֶץ֙into the ground ;ḇā·’ā·reṣ
אִבַּ֥דHe has destroyed’ib·baḏ
וְשִׁבַּ֖רand shatteredwə·šib·bar
בְּרִיחֶ֑יהָtheir bars .bə·rî·ḥe·hā
מַלְכָּ֨הּHer kingmal·kāh
וְשָׂרֶ֤יהָand her princeswə·śā·re·hā
בַגּוֹיִם֙ are [exiled] among the nations ,ḇag·gō·w·yim
תּוֹרָ֔הthe lawtō·w·rāh
אֵ֣ין is no more ,’ên
גַּם־and evengam-
נְבִיאֶ֕יהָher prophetsnə·ḇî·’e·hā
מָצְא֥וּfindmā·ṣə·’ū
לֹא־nolō-
