וַיֵּלַ֑ךְwent awayway·yê·laḵ
וַיִּקְצֹ֥ף angry ,way·yiq·ṣōp̄
וַיֹּאמֶר֩ saying ,way·yō·mer
הִנֵּ֨ה. . .hin·nêh
אָמַ֜רְתִּי“ I thought that’ā·mar·tî
אֵלַ֣י׀’ê·lay
יֵצֵ֣אhe would surely come outyê·ṣê
יָצ֗וֹא . . . ,yā·ṣō·w
וְעָמַד֙standwə·‘ā·maḏ
וְקָרָא֙and callwə·qā·rā
בְּשֵׁם־on the namebə·šêm-
יְהוָ֣הof YHWHYah·weh
אֱלֹהָ֔יו his God ,’ĕ·lō·hāw
וְהֵנִ֥יףand wavewə·hê·nîp̄
יָד֛וֹhis handyā·ḏōw
אֶל־over’el-
הַמָּק֖וֹםthe spotham·mā·qō·wm
וְאָסַ֥ףto curewə·’ā·sap̄
הַמְּצֹרָֽע׃my leprosy .ham·mə·ṣō·rā‘
2 Kings 5:12הֲלֹ֡א[Are] nothă·lō
אֲבָנָהthe Abanahʾă·ḇå̄·nå̄h
וּפַרְפַּ֜ר and Pharpar ,ū·p̄ar·par
נַהֲר֣וֹתthe riversna·hă·rō·wṯ
דַּמֶּ֗שֶׂק of Damascus ,dam·me·śeq
טוֹב֩betterṭō·wḇ
מִכֹּל֙than allmik·kōl
מֵימֵ֣יthe watersmê·mê
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔לof Israel ?yiś·rā·’êl
הֲלֹֽא־Could I nothă·lō-
אֶרְחַ֥ץhave washed’er·ḥaṣ
בָּהֶ֖םin thembā·hem
וְטָהָ֑רְתִּיand been cleansed ? ”wə·ṭā·hā·rə·tî
וַיִּ֖פֶןSo he turnedway·yi·p̄en
וַיֵּ֥לֶךְand went awayway·yê·leḵ
בְּחֵמָֽה׃in a rage .bə·ḥê·māh
2 Kings 5:13עֲבָדָיו֮ Naaman’s servants, however ,‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw
וַיִּגְּשׁ֣וּapproached himway·yig·gə·šū
וַיְדַבְּר֣וּand saidway·ḏab·bə·rū
אֵלָיו֒ – ,’ê·lāw
וַיֹּאמְר֗וּway·yō·mə·rū
אָבִי֙ “ My father ,’ā·ḇî
הַנָּבִ֛יאif the prophethan·nā·ḇî
דִּבֶּ֥רhad tolddib·ber
אֵלֶ֖יךָyou’ê·le·ḵā
גָּד֗וֹלto do some greatgā·ḏō·wl
דָּבָ֣ר thing ,dā·ḇār
הֲל֣וֹאwould you nothă·lō·w
תַעֲשֶׂ֑הhave done [it] ?ṯa·‘ă·śeh
וְאַ֛ף How much more, then ,wə·’ap̄
כִּֽי־whenkî-
אָמַ֥רhe tells’ā·mar
אֵלֶ֖יךָ you ,’ê·le·ḵā
רְחַ֥ץ‘ Washrə·ḥaṣ
וּטְהָֽר׃and be cleansed ’? ”ū·ṭə·hār
2 Kings 5:14וַיֵּ֗רֶדSo Naaman went downway·yê·reḏ
וַיִּטְבֹּ֤לand dipped himselfway·yiṭ·bōl
בַּיַּרְדֵּן֙in the Jordanbay·yar·dên
שֶׁ֣בַעsevenše·ḇa‘
פְּעָמִ֔ים times ,pə·‘ā·mîm
כִּדְבַ֖רaccording to the wordkiḏ·ḇar
אִ֣ישׁof the man’îš
הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים of God ,hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm
בְּשָׂר֗וֹand his fleshbə·śā·rōw
וַיָּ֣שָׁבwas restoredway·yā·šāḇ
כִּבְשַׂ֛רand became like [that]kiḇ·śar
קָטֹ֖ןof a littleqā·ṭōn
נַ֥עַר child ,na·‘ar
וַיִּטְהָֽר׃and he was clean .way·yiṭ·hār
2 Kings 5:15ה֣וּאThen Naaman
וְכָֽל־and allwə·ḵāl
מַחֲנֵ֗הוּhis attendantsma·ḥă·nê·hū
וַיָּבֹא֮. . .way·yā·ḇō
וַיָּשָׁב֩went backway·yā·šāḇ
אֶל־to’el-
אִ֨ישׁthe man’îš
הָאֱלֹהִ֜ים of God ,hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm
וַיַּעֲמֹ֣דstoodway·ya·‘ă·mōḏ
לְפָנָיו֒ before him ,lə·p̄ā·nāw
וַיֹּ֗אמֶר and declared ,way·yō·mer
נָ֤א“ Now
יָדַ֙עְתִּי֙I knowyā·ḏa‘·tî
הִנֵּה־for surehin·nêh-
כִּ֣יthat
אֵ֤יןthere is no’ên
אֱלֹהִים֙God’ĕ·lō·hîm
