| וּבַחֻֽרֵיהֶם֙ | their young men | ū·ḇa·ḥu·rê·hem | |
| בַּחֶ֣רֶב | with the sword , | ba·ḥe·reḇ | |
| וְעֹלְלֵיהֶ֣ם | dash their little ones | wə·‘ō·lə·lê·hem | |
| תְּרַטֵּ֔שׁ | to pieces , | tə·raṭ·ṭêš | |
| תְּבַקֵּֽעַ׃ | and rip open | tə·ḇaq·qê·a‘ | |
| וְהָרֹתֵיהֶ֖ם | their pregnant women . ” | wə·hā·rō·ṯê·hem | |

| וַיָּמֹ֑ת | So Ben-hadad died , | way·yā·mōṯ | |
| חֲזָהאֵ֖ל | and Hazael | ḥă·zā·h·’êl | |
| וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ | reigned | way·yim·lōḵ | |
