מְתִ֨ים׀menmə·ṯîm
יִנְאָ֗קוּ groan ,yin·’ā·qū
וְנֶֽפֶשׁ־and the soulswə·ne·p̄eš-
חֲלָלִ֥יםof the woundedḥă·lā·lîm
תְּשַׁוֵּ֑עַ cry out ,tə·šaw·wê·a‘
וֶ֝אֱל֗וֹהַּyet Godwe·’ĕ·lō·w·ah
יָשִׂ֥יםchargesyā·śîm
לֹא־no onelō-
תִּפְלָֽה׃with wrongdoing .tip̄·lāh

א֥וֹר against the light ,’ō·wr

הִכִּ֥ירוּknowinghik·kî·rū
דְרָכָ֑יוits waysḏə·rā·ḵāw

בִּנְתִיבֹתָֽיו׃on its paths .bin·ṯî·ḇō·ṯāw

רוֹצֵ֗חַthe murdererrō·w·ṣê·aḥ
יָ֘ק֤וּםrisesyā·qūm
יִֽקְטָל־to killyiq·ṭāl-
עָנִ֥יthe poor‘ā·nî
וְאֶבְי֑וֹןand needy ;wə·’eḇ·yō·wn
וּ֝בַלַּ֗יְלָהin the nightū·ḇal·lay·lāh
יְהִ֣יhe isyə·hî
כַגַּנָּֽב׃like a thief .ḵag·gan·nāḇ
Job 24:15וְעֵ֤יןThe eyewə·‘ên
נֹאֵ֨ף׀of the adulterernō·’êp̄
שָׁ֤מְרָֽהwatchesšā·mə·rāh
נֶ֣שֶׁףfor twilight .ne·šep̄
לֵ֭אמֹר Thinking ,lê·mōr
לֹא־‘ Nolō-
עָ֑יִןeye‘ā·yin
תְשׁוּרֵ֣נִי will see me , ’ṯə·šū·rê·nî
וְסֵ֖תֶרhe coverswə·sê·ṯer
יָשִֽׂים׃. . .yā·śîm
פָּנִ֣יםhis face .pā·nîm
Job 24:16בַּחֹ֗שֶׁךְIn the darkba·ḥō·šeḵ
חָתַ֥רthey dig throughḥā·ṯar
בָּ֫תִּ֥יםhouses ;bāt·tîm
יוֹמָ֥םby dayyō·w·mām
חִתְּמוּ־they shut themselves inḥit·tə·mū-
לָ֗מוֹ ,lā·mōw
לֹא־neverlō-
יָ֥דְעוּto experienceyā·ḏə·‘ū
אֽוֹר׃the light .’ō·wr
Job 24:17כִּ֤יFor

צַלְמָ֑וֶתdeep darknessṣal·mā·weṯ
יַחְדָּ֨ו׀is theiryaḥ·dāw
בֹּ֣קֶרmorning ;bō·qer
כִּֽי־surelykî-
יַ֝כִּ֗ירthey are friends withyak·kîr
בַּלְה֥וֹתthe terrorsbal·hō·wṯ
צַלְמָֽוֶת׃of darkness !ṣal·mā·weṯ

חֶלְקָתָ֣םtheir portionḥel·qā·ṯām
