הָעֵדָ֔הof the congregationhā·‘ê·ḏāh
לְכַפֵּ֥רby making atonementlə·ḵap·pêr
עֲלֵיהֶ֖םfor them‘ă·lê·hem
לִפְנֵ֥יbeforelip̄·nê
יְהוָֽה׃YHWH .Yah·weh
Leviticus 10:18הֵ֚ןSincehên
דָּמָ֔הּits blooddā·māh

הַקֹּ֖דֶשׁ the holy [place] ,haq·qō·ḏeš
אָכ֨וֹלyou should have eaten’ā·ḵō·wl
תֹּאכְל֥וּ. . .tō·ḵə·lū
אֹתָ֛הּ’ō·ṯāh
בַּקֹּ֖דֶשׁ it in the sanctuary area ,baq·qō·ḏeš
כַּאֲשֶׁ֥רaska·’ă·šer
צִוֵּֽיתִי׃I commanded . ”ṣiw·wê·ṯî

עֹֽלָתָם֙and their burnt offering‘ō·lā·ṯām
לִפְנֵ֣יbeforelip̄·nê
יְהוָ֔הYHWH .Yah·weh
כָּאֵ֑לֶּהSince these thingskā·’êl·leh
וַתִּקְרֶ֥אנָה have happened to me ,wat·tiq·re·nāh
אֹתִ֖י’ō·ṯî
וְאָכַ֤לְתִּיif I had eatenwə·’ā·ḵal·tî
חַטָּאת֙the sin offeringḥaṭ·ṭāṯ
הַיּ֔וֹם today ,hay·yō·wm
הַיִּיטַ֖בwould it have been acceptablehay·yî·ṭaḇ
בְּעֵינֵ֥יin the sightbə·‘ê·nê
יְהוָֽה׃of YHWH ? ”Yah·weh

וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע heard this [explanation] ,way·yiš·ma‘
