לְאִ֨ישׁyoulə·’îš

וְשֹׁפֵט֙and judgewə·šō·p̄êṭ
עָלֵ֔ינוּover us ?‘ā·lê·nū
אַתָּ֣הAre you’at·tāh
אֹמֵ֔רplanning’ō·mêr
הַלְהָרְגֵ֙נִי֙to kill mehal·hā·rə·ḡê·nî
כַּאֲשֶׁ֥רaska·’ă·šer
הָרַ֖גְתָּyou killedhā·raḡ·tā
אֶת־’eṯ-
הַמִּצְרִ֑יthe Egyptian ? ”ham·miṣ·rî
מֹשֶׁה֙Then Mosesmō·šeh
וַיִּירָ֤אwas afraidway·yî·rā
וַיֹּאמַ֔ר and thought ,way·yō·mar
הַדָּבָֽר׃“ This thing I have donehad·dā·ḇār
אָכֵ֖ןhas surely’ā·ḵên
נוֹדַ֥עbecome known . ”nō·w·ḏa‘

לַהֲרֹ֣גto killla·hă·rōḡ
אֶת־’eṯ-
מֹשֶׁ֑הMoses .mō·šeh
מֹשֶׁה֙But Mosesmō·šeh
וַיִּבְרַ֤חfledway·yiḇ·raḥ
מִפְּנֵ֣יfrommip·pə·nê
פַרְעֹ֔הPharaohp̄ar·‘ōh
וַיֵּ֥שֶׁבand settledway·yê·šeḇ
בְּאֶֽרֶץ־in the landbə·’e·reṣ-
מִדְיָ֖ן of Midian ,miḏ·yān
וַיֵּ֥שֶׁבwhere he sat downway·yê·šeḇ
עַֽל־beside‘al-
הַבְּאֵֽר׃a well .hab·bə·’êr
Exodus 2:16וּלְכֹהֵ֥ןNow the priestū·lə·ḵō·hên
מִדְיָ֖ןof Midianmiḏ·yān
שֶׁ֣בַעhad sevenše·ḇa‘
בָּנ֑וֹת daughters ,bā·nō·wṯ
וַתָּבֹ֣אנָהand they camewat·tā·ḇō·nāh
וַתִּדְלֶ֗נָהto draw waterwat·tiḏ·le·nāh
וַתְּמַלֶּ֙אנָה֙and fillwat·tə·mal·le·nāh
אֶת־’eṯ-
הָ֣רְהָטִ֔יםthe troughshā·rə·hā·ṭîm
לְהַשְׁק֖וֹתto waterlə·haš·qō·wṯ
אֲבִיהֶֽן׃their father’s’ă·ḇî·hen
