| הֲמוֹנֹ֔ה | his multitude | hă·mō·nōh | |
| וְהֻשְׁכַּב֩ | will be laid to rest | wə·huš·kaḇ | |
| בְּת֨וֹךְ | among | bə·ṯō·wḵ | |
| עֲרֵלִ֜ים | the uncircumcised , | ‘ă·rê·lîm | |
| אֶת־ | with | ’eṯ- | |
| חַלְלֵי־ | those slain | ḥal·lê- | |
| חֶ֗רֶב | by the sword , | ḥe·reḇ | |
| נְאֻ֖ם | declares | nə·’um | |
| אֲדֹנָ֥י | the Lord | ’ă·ḏō·nāy | |
| יְהוִֽה׃פ | YHWH. ” | Yah·weh | |

| וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ | and tell | wə·’ā·mar·tā | |

| חָ֑רֶב | the sword | ḥā·reḇ | |
| עָלֶ֖יהָ | against | ‘ā·le·hā | |

| עַם־ | and the people | ‘am- | |
| הָאָ֜רֶץ | of that land | hā·’ā·reṣ | |
| וְלָקְח֨וּ | choose | wə·lā·qə·ḥū | |
| אֶחָד֙ | a | ’e·ḥāḏ | |
| אִ֤ישׁ | man | ’îš | |
| מִקְצֵיהֶ֔ם | from among them , | miq·ṣê·hem | |
| וְנָתְנ֥וּ | appointing | wə·nā·ṯə·nū | |
| אֹת֛וֹ | him | ’ō·ṯōw | |
| לָהֶ֖ם | as their | lā·hem | |
| לְצֹפֶֽה׃ | watchman , | lə·ṣō·p̄eh | |
| Ezekiel 33:3 | וְרָאָ֥ה | and he sees | wə·rā·’āh | 
| אֶת־ | – | ’eṯ- | |
| הַחֶ֖רֶב | the sword | ha·ḥe·reḇ | |
| בָּאָ֣ה | coming | bā·’āh | |
| עַל־ | against | ‘al- | |
| הָאָ֑רֶץ | that land | hā·’ā·reṣ | |
| וְתָקַ֥ע | and blows | wə·ṯā·qa‘ | |
| בַּשּׁוֹפָ֖ר | the ram’s horn | baš·šō·w·p̄ār | |
| וְהִזְהִ֥יר | to warn | wə·hiz·hîr | |
| אֶת־ | – | ’eṯ- | |
| הָעָֽם׃ | the people . | hā·‘ām | |
| Ezekiel 33:4 | וְשָׁמַ֨ע | Then if anyone hears | wə·šā·ma‘ | 
| הַשֹּׁמֵ֜עַ | . . . | haš·šō·mê·a‘ | |
| אֶת־ | – | ’eṯ- | |
| ק֤וֹל | the sound | qō·wl | |
| הַשּׁוֹפָר֙ | of the horn | haš·šō·w·p̄ār | |
| וְלֹ֣א | but fails | wə·lō | |
| נִזְהָ֔ר | to heed the warning , | niz·hār | |
| חֶ֖רֶב | and the sword | ḥe·reḇ | |
| וַתָּ֥בוֹא | comes | wat·tā·ḇō·w | |
| וַתִּקָּחֵ֑הוּ | and takes him away , | wat·tiq·qā·ḥê·hū | |
| דָּמ֥וֹ | his blood | dā·mōw | |
| יִֽהְיֶֽה׃ | will be | yih·yeh | |
| בְרֹאשׁ֖וֹ | on his own head . | ḇə·rō·šōw | |
| Ezekiel 33:5 | אֵת֩ | – | ’êṯ | 
| שָׁמַע֙ | Since he heard | šā·ma‘ | |
| ק֨וֹל | the sound | qō·wl | |
| הַשּׁוֹפָ֤ר | of the horn | haš·šō·w·p̄ār | |
| וְלֹ֣א | but failed | wə·lō | |
| נִזְהָ֔ר | to heed the warning , | niz·hār | |
| דָּמ֖וֹ | his blood | dā·mōw | |
| יִֽהְיֶ֑ה | will be | yih·yeh | |
| בּ֣וֹ | on his own head . | bōw | |
| וְה֥וּא | If he | wə·hū | |
| נִזְהָ֖ר | had heeded the warning , | niz·hār | |
| מִלֵּֽט׃ | he would have saved | mil·lêṭ | |
| נַפְשׁ֥וֹ | his life . | nap̄·šōw | |
