| בְּנִ֑י | so that my son | bə·nî | |
| וְלֹ֥א | may not | wə·lō | |
| יַשְׁמִ֖ידוּ | be destroyed ! ” | yaš·mî·ḏū | |

| אֱלֹהִים֙ | Yet God | ’ĕ·lō·hîm | |
| וְלֹֽא־ | does not | wə·lō- | |
| יִשָּׂ֤א | take away | yiś·śā | |
| נֶ֔פֶשׁ | a life ; | ne·p̄eš | |
| וְחָשַׁב֙ | but He devises | wə·ḥā·šaḇ | |
| מַֽחֲשָׁב֔וֹת | ways | ma·ḥă·šā·ḇō·wṯ | |
| יִדַּ֥ח | that the banished one | yid·daḥ | |
| לְבִלְתִּ֛י | may not | lə·ḇil·tî | |
| נִדָּֽח׃ | be cast out | nid·dāḥ | |
| מִמֶּ֖נּוּ | from Him . | mim·men·nū | |
