וְנִֽלָּחֲמָ֤הso we can fightwə·nil·lā·ḥă·māh
אוֹתָם֙[the Israelites]’ō·w·ṯām
בַּמִּישׁ֔וֹר on the plain ,bam·mî·šō·wr
אִם־where we will surely’im-
לֹ֥א. . .
נֶחֱזַ֖קprevailne·ḥĕ·zaq
מֵהֶ֑ם. . . . ”mê·hem
וַיִּשְׁמַ֥עAnd [the king] approvedway·yiš·ma‘
לְקֹלָ֖םtheir planlə·qō·lām
וַיַּ֥עַשׂand actedway·ya·‘aś
כֵּֽן׃פaccordingly .kên

לַמִּלְחָמָ֖הto fightlam·mil·ḥā·māh
עִם־against‘im-
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Israel .yiś·rā·’êl

הָתְפָּקְדוּ֙ also mobilized ,hā·ṯə·pā·qə·ḏū
וְכָלְכְּל֔וּ gathered supplies ,wə·ḵā·lə·kə·lū
וַיֵּלְכ֖וּand marched outway·yê·lə·ḵū
לִקְרָאתָ֑םto meet them .liq·rā·ṯām
בְנֵֽי־The Israelitesḇə·nê-

וַיַּחֲנ֨וּcampedway·ya·ḥă·nū
נֶגְדָּ֗םbefore themneḡ·dām
כִּשְׁנֵי֙like twokiš·nê
חֲשִׂפֵ֣יsmall flocksḥă·śi·p̄ê
עִזִּ֔ים of goats ,‘iz·zîm
וַאֲרָ֖םwhile the Arameanswa·’ă·rām
מִלְא֥וּcoveredmil·’ū
אֶת־’eṯ-
הָאָֽרֶץ׃the countryside .hā·’ā·reṣ

וַיִּגַּ֞שׁapproachedway·yig·gaš
מֶ֣לֶךְthe kingme·leḵ

וַיֹּאמֶר֮and saidway·yō·mer
אֶל־’el-
וַיֹּ֜אמֶר ,way·yō·mer

עֲמָקִ֖יםof the valleys‘ă·mā·qîm
ה֑וּא . . . ,
וְ֠נָתַתִּיI will deliverwə·nā·ṯat·tî
כָּל־allkāl-
הַזֶּה֙thishaz·zeh
הַגָּ֤דוֹלgreathag·gā·ḏō·wl

בְּיָדֶ֔ךָinto your hand .bə·yā·ḏe·ḵā
