אֵלֶ֑יךָ to you , ”’ê·le·ḵā
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔לIsraelyiś·rā·’êl
וַיִּתְחַזֵּק֙rallied his strengthway·yiṯ·ḥaz·zêq
וַיֵּ֖שֶׁבand sat upway·yê·šeḇ
עַל־in‘al-
הַמִּטָּֽה׃bed .ham·miṭ·ṭāh

בְּל֖וּזat Luzbə·lūz
בְּאֶ֣רֶץin the landbə·’e·reṣ
כְּנָ֑עַן of Canaan ,kə·nā·‘an
וַיְבָ֖רֶךְand there He blessedway·ḇā·reḵ
אֹתִֽי׃me’ō·ṯî
Genesis 48:4וַיֹּ֣אמֶרand toldway·yō·mer
אֵלַ֗י me ,’ê·lay
הִנְנִ֤י ‘ Behold ,hin·nî
מַפְרְךָ֙I will make you fruitfulmap̄·rə·ḵā
וְהִרְבִּיתִ֔ךָand multiply you ;wə·hir·bî·ṯi·ḵā
וּנְתַתִּ֖יךָI will make youū·nə·ṯat·tî·ḵā
לִקְהַ֣לa multitudeliq·hal
עַמִּ֑ים of peoples ,‘am·mîm
וְנָ֨תַתִּ֜יand will givewə·nā·ṯat·tî
אֶת־’eṯ-
הַזֹּ֛אתthishaz·zōṯ
הָאָ֧רֶץlandhā·’ā·reṣ
לְזַרְעֲךָ֥to your descendantslə·zar·‘ă·ḵā
אַחֲרֶ֖יךָafter you’a·ḥă·re·ḵā
עוֹלָֽם׃as an everlasting‘ō·w·lām
אֲחֻזַּ֥תpossession . ’’ă·ḥuz·zaṯ
Genesis 48:5וְעַתָּ֡הAnd nowwə·‘at·tāh
שְׁנֵֽי־your twošə·nê-
בָנֶיךָ֩sonsḇā·ne·ḵā
הַנּוֹלָדִ֨יםbornhan·nō·w·lā·ḏîm
לְךָ֜to youlə·ḵā
בְּאֶ֣רֶץvvvbə·’e·reṣ
מִצְרַ֗יִםin Egyptmiṣ·ra·yim
עַד־before‘aḏ-
בֹּאִ֥יI camebō·’î
אֵלֶ֛יךָto you’ê·le·ḵā
מִצְרַ֖יְמָה[here]miṣ·ray·māh
הֵ֑ם[shall be reckoned as]hêm
לִי־mine ;lî-
אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙Ephraim’ep̄·ra·yim
וּמְנַשֶּׁ֔הand Manassehū·mə·naš·šeh
יִֽהְיוּ־shall beyih·yū-
לִֽי׃ mine ,
כִּרְאוּבֵ֥ןjust as Reubenkir·’ū·ḇên
וְשִׁמְע֖וֹןand Simeon [are mine] .wə·šim·‘ō·wn
Genesis 48:6וּמוֹלַדְתְּךָ֛Any childrenū·mō·w·laḏ·tə·ḵā
אֲשֶׁר־’ă·šer-
הוֹלַ֥דְתָּbornhō·w·laḏ·tā
לְךָ֣to youlə·ḵā
אַחֲרֵיהֶ֖םafter them’a·ḥă·rê·hem
יִהְי֑וּ shall be yours ,yih·yū
יִקָּרְא֖וּand they shall be calledyiq·qā·rə·’ū
עַ֣לby‘al
שֵׁ֧םthe namesšêm
אֲחֵיהֶ֛םof their brothers’ă·ḥê·hem
בְּנַחֲלָתָֽם׃in the territory they inherit .bə·na·ḥă·lā·ṯām
Genesis 48:7וַאֲנִ֣י׀ Now as for me ,wa·’ă·nî
בְּבֹאִ֣יwhen I was returningbə·ḇō·’î
מִפַּדָּ֗ן from Paddan ,mip·pad·dān
עָלַ֨יto my sorrow‘ā·lay
רָחֵ֜לRachelrā·ḥêl
מֵ֩תָה֩diedmê·ṯāh
בַּדֶּ֔רֶךְalong the waybad·de·reḵ
בְּאֶ֤רֶץin the landbə·’e·reṣ
כְּנַ֙עַן֙ of Canaan ,kə·na·‘an
בְּע֥וֹד. . .bə·‘ō·wḏ
כִּבְרַת־some distancekiḇ·raṯ-
אֶ֖רֶץ. . .’e·reṣ
לָבֹ֣א. . .lā·ḇō
אֶפְרָ֑תָהfrom Ephrath .’ep̄·rā·ṯāh
וָאֶקְבְּרֶ֤הָSo I buried herwā·’eq·bə·re·hā
