כַּיּוֹנֵ֜ק like a tender shoot ,kay·yō·w·nêq
וְכַשֹּׁ֙רֶשׁ֙and like a rootwə·ḵaš·šō·reš
צִיָּ֔הout of dryṣî·yāh
מֵאֶ֣רֶץground .mê·’e·reṣ
לֹא־He had nolō-
תֹ֥אַר[stately] formṯō·’ar
ל֖וֹlōw
הָדָ֑רor majestyhā·ḏār
וְנִרְאֵ֥הוּ to attract us ,wə·nir·’ê·hū
וְלֹֽא־nowə·lō-
וְלֹ֣אwə·lō
מַרְאֶ֖הbeautymar·’eh
וְנֶחְמְדֵֽהוּ׃that we should desire Him .wə·neḥ·mə·ḏê·hū
Isaiah 53:3נִבְזֶה֙He was despisedniḇ·zeh
וַחֲדַ֣לand rejectedwa·ḥă·ḏal
אִישִׁ֔ים by men ,’î·šîm
אִ֥ישׁa man’îš
מַכְאֹב֖וֹת of sorrows ,maḵ·’ō·ḇō·wṯ
וִיד֣וּעַacquaintedwî·ḏū·a‘
חֹ֑לִיwith grief .ḥō·lî
וּכְמַסְתֵּ֤רLike one from whom men hideū·ḵə·mas·têr
מִמֶּ֔נּוּ. . .mim·men·nū
פָּנִים֙ their faces ,pā·nîm
נִבְזֶ֖ה He was despised ,niḇ·zeh
חֲשַׁבְנֻֽהוּ׃and we esteemed Himḥă·šaḇ·nu·hū
וְלֹ֥אnot .wə·lō
Isaiah 53:4אָכֵ֤ןSurely’ā·ḵên
ה֣וּאHe
נָשָׂ֔אtook onnā·śā
חֳלָיֵ֙נוּ֙our infirmitiesḥo·lā·yê·nū
סְבָלָ֑םand carriedsə·ḇā·lām
וּמַכְאֹבֵ֖ינוּour sorrows ;ū·maḵ·’ō·ḇê·nū
וַאֲנַ֣חְנוּyet wewa·’ă·naḥ·nū
חֲשַׁבְנֻ֔הוּconsidered Himḥă·šaḇ·nu·hū
נָג֛וּעַstrickennā·ḡū·a‘
אֱלֹהִ֖ים by God ,’ĕ·lō·hîm
מֻכֵּ֥הstruck downmuk·kêh
וּמְעֻנֶּֽה׃and afflicted .ū·mə·‘un·neh
Isaiah 53:5וְהוּא֙But Hewə·hū
מְחֹלָ֣לwas piercedmə·ḥō·lāl
מִפְּשָׁעֵ֔נוּ for our transgressions ,mip·pə·šā·‘ê·nū
מְדֻכָּ֖אHe was crushedmə·ḏuk·kā
מֵעֲוֺנֹתֵ֑ינוּfor our iniquities ;mê·‘ă·wō·nō·ṯê·nū
מוּסַ֤רthe punishmentmū·sar
שְׁלוֹמֵ֙נוּ֙that brought us peacešə·lō·w·mê·nū
עָלָ֔יו was upon Him ,‘ā·lāw
וּבַחֲבֻרָת֖וֹand by His stripesū·ḇa·ḥă·ḇu·rā·ṯōw
נִרְפָּא־we are healed .nir·pā-
לָֽנוּ׃lā·nū
Isaiah 53:6כֻּלָּ֙נוּ֙We allkul·lā·nū
כַּצֹּ֣אןlike sheepkaṣ·ṣōn
תָּעִ֔ינוּ have gone astray ,tā·‘î·nū
אִ֥ישׁeach one’îš
פָּנִ֑ינוּhas turnedpā·nî·nū
לְדַרְכּ֖וֹto his own way ;lə·ḏar·kōw
וַֽיהוָה֙and YHWHYah·weh
הִפְגִּ֣יעַhas laidhip̄·gî·a‘
בּ֔וֹbōw
אֵ֖תupon Him’êṯ
עֲוֺ֥ןthe iniquity‘ă·wōn
כֻּלָּֽנוּ׃of us all .kul·lā·nū
Isaiah 53:7נִגַּ֨שׂHe was oppressednig·gaś
וְה֣וּא. . .wə·hū
נַעֲנֶה֮ and afflicted ,na·‘ă·neh
וְלֹ֣אyet He did notwə·lō
יִפְתַּח־openyip̄·taḥ-
פִּיו֒His mouth .pîw
יוּבָ֔לHe was ledyū·ḇāl
כַּשֶּׂה֙like a lambkaś·śeh
לַטֶּ֣בַח to the slaughter ,laṭ·ṭe·ḇaḥ
וּכְרָחֵ֕לand as a sheepū·ḵə·rā·ḥêl
לִפְנֵ֥יbeforelip̄·nê
גֹזְזֶ֖יהָher shearersḡō·zə·ze·hā
נֶאֱלָ֑מָה is silent ,ne·’ĕ·lā·māh
וְלֹ֥אso He did notwə·lō
יִפְתַּ֖חopenyip̄·taḥ
פִּֽיו׃His mouth .pîw
Isaiah 53:8מֵעֹ֤צֶרBy oppressionmê·‘ō·ṣer
וּמִמִּשְׁפָּט֙and judgmentū·mim·miš·pāṭ
לֻקָּ֔ח He was taken away ,luq·qāḥ
וְאֶת־andwə·’eṯ-
